If you think homosexuality is a sin, that’s okay. It’s okay to talk about it, to shout it from to rooftops if you want to. That’s fine.
If you don’t want to marry someone as the same sex as you, that’s cool. If you don’t want to let two people of the same sex get married in your church, that’s cool too.
If you are very purposefully going to patronize a business whose owner has publicly stated he is against gay marriage and whose company donates money to anti-gay marriage organizations, it is going to appear that you are also actively against gay marriage. [With this, I mean yesterday. There are going to be a lot of people who really like the food at that restaurant, and who don’t chose to make statements by where they do or do not spend their money.]
That right there is what crosses a line for me. By actively working against gay marriage, people are actively fighting against the happiness of other people, actively fighting against human rights. How is that okay?
I stand on the side of human rights, and always will.
