Jake and I were sitting on the couch with Adeline on Thursday night. Lucy was asleep in her crib, and we had the monitor on the kitchen counter. Even with our small house, sound doesn’t carry well so we keep the monitor on any time one of the kids is in their room.
Adeline looked up and said “Ishee cryin’ roooom” (which translates to Lucy is crying in her room). Jake and I both looked at the monitor, which was quiet.
Not ten seconds later, Lucy woke up and started crying. It was so bizarre.
Now I am reading things in to some of the things Adeline says. She calls both dogs Leika, and even for the week Leika was gone, she continued to call Toly Leika, so now I am worried that the outcome of the cancer-or-infection issue is not going to be in Toly’s favor.
I have got to stop doing that. Not everything is a sign.
